An opportunity was created for a Standalone HR Manager to join the UK management team of a fast-growing international business. The position offered part-time flexibility and autonomy to shape the HR function while supporting business growth in Guildford and across Surrey.

Core responsibilities
The role involved managing the full HR lifecycle, advising managers on employee relations, overseeing recruitment and onboarding, and developing staff training and leadership programmes. It also required reviewing policies, ensuring compliance, working with outsourced providers on payroll and benefits, and supporting projects such as M&As and TUPE transfers.

Skills and experience required
The organisation was seeking a CIPD-qualified HR professional with strong generalist experience and sound employment law knowledge. Excellent communication skills, independence and discretion were essential, with prior TUPE experience highly desirable.
